Hai DuongThermal Power Plant 1200MW – Hai Duong, Vietnam

Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant has a total capacity of 1,200MW, a project invested by Malaysia and China Group with a total investment of 1.87 billion USD.

The project has a domestic coal supply from Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group -Vinacomin. As planned, the plant is expected to start construction in June 2012. The first unit will go into operation in the fourth quarter of 2016, and the second unit in the second quarter of 2017.

When the project is put into use, it will supply 7.8 billion kWh of electricity to the North.
