Ring Main Unit

Susol RMU is a compact ring main unit combining all MV functional units to enable supply and protect transformers on the secondary distribution system. It can be supplied in various and different configurations suitable for most switching applications in 12/17.5/24kV/36kV distribution networks.

Technology
  • Metal enclosed unit for indoor installation and type tested
  • Insulated by SF6 Gas
  • Maintenance free and easy installation
  • Accident prevention technology using VI and power fuse
  • ON-OFF-Earth, 3-position load break switch
Safety
  • Approachable and safety operable in the presence of power cables
  • Clear indication of operation status via diagram on front panel
  • Fully automatic interlocking system
  • Internal arc withstanding is tested for operator safety in case of an accident
Durability and Usefulness
  • Metal enclosed tank is hermetically sealed
  • Operating the load break switch is possible in the front of the RMU
  • All switching operations can be safely made to all personnel due to the interlocking system
  • Recharging SF6 gas is not required throughout its service life
  • Remote operation is available while using the motor operating mechanism and RTU
Saving Cost
  • No maintenance is required other than replacement of the HRC power fuse after installation
  • Compact design that requires minimum space to install and local operation is the main advantage, especially where space is limited
